all are flawed

 

holding both the best and the lesser

he was a good man,

he was a great man,

he was a flawed man,

how do we honor another

whose strengths are magnificent?

and whose failings are profound?

how do we honor ourselves?

for we, too, 

mix the best and the lesser in who we are?
