why this book? why now?

 Into the Light!

an hour ago I clicked "publish"

for a book I have labored on for a year,

really for many years,

I have sought to give voice to former CFS students,

who can speak of the school's impact on their lives,

a way to celebrate what has been,

and to help us keep true to what should continue to be,

each student is center of the universe

and thus worth helping to understand 

both themselves and the rest of the universe,

and how that all can fit together,

a role I work at is to see it all,

and to help it be seen by others,

I want to both help those of the past

appreciate the effects that happened 

in and after their classrooms,

and to help those in the future 

keep true to the work they are doing

and to their belief in the people in front of them,

I want this all to be obvious and informing to parents

looking for a school that will work hard and well

to help their child become the best they can be,

now is a time to build, to connect,

so that anything within our purview moves forward,

and tomorrow is even better than today.
